BORGO CASTELLO
B&B

Borgo Castello B&B was born…

from a life project, authentic and personal,

from my passion for travel and in particular for a way of traveling that allows you to see a place through the eyes of those who live in it, to immerse yourself in a new social and cultural context in a simple and direct way,

from a love for my land and for my roots, which over time has increased the desire to share the house in which I live and which has belonged to my family for over a hundred years.

WELCOME!

Silvia

Furnished with care and a love for detail, Borgo Castello B&B offers three spacious and bright rooms, each with private bathroom and equipped with all comforts (free WI-FI, air conditioning, hairdryer, kettle, private parking).

Each room is characterized by a distinct style ranging from classic, with original Liberty style furnishings from the early twentieth century, to contemporary and design, to the most eccentric, vaguely neo-baroque.

The windows frame an incomparable view of the Upper Castle or the historic centre of Marostica.

The kitchen where breakfast is served is fully equipped and available to guests.

Although the Piazza degli Scacchi with its bars, cafes and restaurants is just around the corner, the area is quiet, peaceful and safe, even for your car, as we have private parking.

Marostica is a marvellous medieval town, lying at the foot of the gentle hills that precede the Asiago plateau.

The fortified walls open from the Upper Castle, embrace the Pausolino hill and the historic centre closing on the Lower Castle, overlooking the extraordinary square where, every two years, the spectacular Living Chess Game is re-enacted.

Legend has it that in the distant 1454 two brave warriors, Rinaldo D’Angarano and Vieri da Vallonara, fell in love with the beautiful Lionora, daughter of Taddeo Parisio, who was the Lord of Marostica. For her hand they challenged each other to a duel but the Lord of the town, who did not want to lose any of the two brave young men, prevented the bloody clash and arranged for Lionora to marry the one between the two rivals who had won the game to the noble game of chess, and so it happened.

Today the emotion is renewed. In a sumptuous rejoicing of precious costumes, fires, lights, sounds and dances, charming ladies and intrepid knights, jugglers and fire eaters, relives the ancient flavour of an exciting love story.

In the rolling hills that surround Marostica you can immerse yourself in nature and in the countryside, take walks on foot or by bike or taste local products such as the famous Marostica cherries.
